Music: Veruca Salt New EP

Hard to believe, but it's been 5 years since their last release, and at last Veruca Salt have some new music available in the form of an EP Lords of Sounds and Lesser Things, which is only being sold at shows and through their official site. I ordered my copy today.

Veruca Salt scored a 1994 hit in the US with Seether, then after three albums in 1998 guitarist/singer Nina Gordon left the band (along with bassist Steve Lack and drummer Jim Shapiro). I thought they wouldn't be the same again but 2000's Resolver (with a new lineup) proved me wrong. I was fortunate enough to see them live, before the split, at LA2 in London in 1997 and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

In other Veruca Salt news, there is a rather strange remix by Divide and Kreate of the music from Seether combined with the music/vocals from Yazoo's Don't Go, called Don't Seether. I never would have believed it, but the two songs do go rather go well together.
